Death is the only thing none of us can avoid, but we often find some rare and amazing cases when some unlucky people met the Grim Reaper in bizarre circumstances. While many heroes have died for their country or for an honorable cause, others have gone out in a less than honourable fashion. Here are some of the weirdest ways people have died throughout history.

1. Famous actor Bruce Lee is said to have died due to a severe allergic reaction to Equagesic. This drug used for tension and anxiety has caused his brain to swell up to 13%, doctors writing in his autopsy “death by misadventure.”

2. Stephen Milligan, the British Journalist and Conservative Party politician, has died in 1994 as a result of an unsuccessful autoerotic asphyxiation. While masturbating, he used a scarf to cut off the oxygen to his brain in order to experience a more intense orgasm.

3. A 36-year old man was killed by his wife with a vibrator. Since he was a fan of unusual sex practices, he asked his wife to use a vibrator; she pushed the entire 20 inch vibrator into the man’s anus, rupturing several internal organs and causing severe bleeding.

4. The following case is evidence for how dangerous computer games can be. After 50 hours of non-stop World of Warcraft, a 28-year old man died of dehydration and heart failure. During these hours of gaming, he had few water to drink and virtually no food. Following his death, an online funeral was held to commemorate his efforts.

5. Could you be killed by your own gas? It appears so, after autopsy reported large amount of methane gas in its intestines. With a diet consisting mostly of beans and cabbage, the man fell asleep in an unventilated room and diet from the toxic gas surrounding him. Three of the rescuers got sick and one was hospitalized.

6. One of the most embarrassing ways to die would be on the toilet. Kind Edmung was killed by a man hiding in his toilet, that ambushed him right when he was on the job.

7.  Harold Simms, a famous Nuclear Scientists from America, killed his wife in a very cruel way. After he found out that she cheated on him, Simms put uranium in his wife’s eyeshadow. She died of radiation, experiencing symptoms such as total hair loss, extreme nausea, blindness; one of her ears even fell off during this time.

8.  In 1923, a jockey by the name of Frank Hayes died of a heart attack during a horse race. The unusual fact is that he was on his horse when this happened. His horse won the race and he got the title of being the only deceased jockey to win a horse race.

9. Can’t stop laughing?  Chrysippus, a Greek philosopher, was one of the 2 cases in history of people that died from laughing too much. The Greek gave his donkey some wine to drink and watched him trying to eat some figs. He laughed so hard that he eventually suffered from heart attack and asphyxiation, eventually dying from these symptoms.

10. Bernd-Jurgen Brandes has posted what seems to be one of the weirdest internet advertisements. In 2001, he was looking for with whom to eat his penis with, and then for that person to eat him. Armin Meiwes was the one that replied to Brandes’ ad. The apetizer consisted of the man’s penis, while the main course was Bernd himself.
