Most Bizarre Weather Occurrences
Most of us know these phenomena from the Bible but, surprisingly, some really happened. Here is a round up of the weirdest weather, together with an explanation.
1. Raining with Blood
No, this is not a scene from a Hollywood movie, it’s a phenomena that was reported as early as Roman times. These bloody showers were actually due to sand blown into clouds and carried by winds across long distances. Dust or sand would combine with water from the clouds and form the red drops that frightened people. Other such occurrences include pollen combining with water, resulting in yellow rain and coal with rain drops that led to black rain.
2. Sea Creatures or Spinning Water
The Loch Ness monster is one of the most famous sea creatures puzzling humankind. But could Nessie be just some spinning waters? These are created from whirlwinds that attract water creating a funnel. Being high and thin, these could easily give off the impression of a sea monster with a long neck.
3. x3
On a sunny day, when the sun is close to the horizon and cirrus clouds traverse the sky, the sun will have 2 reflections, giving people the impression that there are 3 suns. These clones are actually light refracted by tiny ice crystals in the high clouds.
4. Pink and yellow snow
Pink snow in Russia came soon after the yellow snow caused by pollution or possibly volcanic activity in Russia. As meteorologists suggest, the pink color of the snow is due to dust particles from Mongolian sand. Before it arrived in Maritime, the cyclone passed Mongolia, where sand storms had been raging in the desert. The winds of the cyclone embraced dust particles that colored the fallouts.
5. It’s raining… fish!
It’s everywhere and, apparently, it started in Biblical times. It’s not just fish, it’s frogs, tiny snakes or other small creatures that live underwater. Strong winds that accompany intense storms catch these creatures in their whirlpool and carry them across long distances only to drop them in areas without any water, on unsuspecting victims.

Recently I read an article concerning outrage that was leveled at a teacher in the U.S.A. for teaching that the moon had no light of it’s own; but was reflected. Now take the incidents above, move the time line back 2000 years; throw in some information stressed desert tribes,(also townsfolk) and we have a stage set for miracles. Phenomena of this nature has been recorded many times and in many places and by no means are they miraculous.
