There’s no doubt about it, Hollywood is filled with mysterious and downright creepy celebrity deaths, each more bizarre than the other. We have indexed 10 of the most shocking deaths, shrouded in question marks and riddles.

10. Phil Hartman – The Saturday Night Live mainstay died at age 49 on May 28, 1998. He was deadly shot 3 times by his wife Brynn Hartman, who then killed herself.

Q:“I should have been a general a long time ago instead of shining a seat with my ass in Washington D.C. But, thanks to a certain master sergeant, I had a career reversal 20 years ago,”

9. Anna Nicole Smith - The famous playmate died at age 39 on Feb. 8, 2007 of still undetermined causes.

Q: “I don’t have a boyfriend right now. I’m looking for anyone with a job that I don’t have to support.”

8. James Dean - America’s rebel died from a car crash at age 24 on Sept. 30, 1955, with a short career of only 3 films.

Q: “Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today.”

7: Sharon Tate - This sex symbol died on Aug. 9, 1969 at age 26 after she suffered from multiple stab wounds during brutal break-in and attack by Manson family members.

Q: “I honestly don’t understand the big fuss made over nudity and sex in films. It’s silly. On TV, the children can watch people murdering each other, which is a very unnatural thing, but they can’t watch two people in the very natural process of making love. Now, really, that doesn’t make any sense, does it?”

6. Josh Belushi- The original SNL cast member and Blues Brother died on March 5, 1982 at age 33 from a drug overdose.

5. John F. Kennedy Jr. - Part of America’s most famous family, the president’s son died on July 16, 1999 at age 38 after his plane crashed.

4. Elvis Presley - The idol of million of women and one of the founders of rock’n'roll died Aug. 16, 1977 at age 42 from cardiac arrhythmia.

3. Marilyn Monroe - This true fascinating Hollywood star died on Aug. 5, 1962 at age 36 from a presumed drug overdose.

2. John Lennon - The leader of the Beatles and a true activist died on Dec. 8, 1980 at age 40. John was killed by Mark David Chapman after he first signed an autograph for him.

1. Princess Diana - Famous worldwide and known as a princess, family woman and humanitarian, Lady D died on Aug. 31, 1997 at age 36, cause of death: car crash.
